THE MATHCONCEPT DIFFERENCE

We Teach the “Why” Behind Maths

Students can sometimes learn how to follow a method without fully understanding what it means. At MathConcept, we help make mathematical ideas visible and meaningful through concrete learning tools, visual models and structured practice.

Built on the Singapore Maths approach and shaped by more than a decade of teaching experience in Hong Kong and Macau, MathConcept helps students see mathematical relationships, understand the reasoning behind them and apply their learning with confidence.

See It
Concrete

A student uses counters to represent 8 as 5 and 3.

Understand It
Pictorial

A part–part–whole model shows 8 divided into 5 and 3.

Apply It
Abstract

The student writes and solves 5 + 3 = 8.

I Started as a MathConcept Franchise Partner Too

In 2016, I left my career in finance and accounting to open the first MathConcept franchise centre in Macau. Since then, our Macau operation has grown to nine centres, and I remain a franchise partner today.

I still remember what it was like at the beginning—trying to understand the opportunity, asking questions and deciding whether it was the right path for me.

In my letter, I share more about that journey, what I have learned along the way, and how it shapes the way I support franchise partners today.
